Abstract
Abstract: Through this paper we will show how a work can be processed using the model of the dominant literary character and what place this model occupies in the creative teaching of literature. Interpreting the work with the help of this model, he strives for a comprehensive understanding of the significance of the Serbian national heritage. We will see its significance through history, culture, customs, enchanted areas and a whole social picture. We will take the novel Hajduk Stanko as an example through which we will give the meaning of this model of word processing. Following the dominant character, an overview of the polarization of the characters is given, with reference to the central events in the novel.
